ANTHONY ALLEN SOMMER
I began considering the priesthood shortly after I received my First Communion. I began to altar serve, and I came to love the liturgy. As I went through school, my interest in the priesthood ebbed and flowed, but I continued to altar serve and grow in appreciation for the liturgy. Shortly after I graduated high school, I went on a vocation retreat with my diocese. On that retreat, I came to realize that I felt called to enter the seminary. I spent the next year at the University of St. Thomas as I went through the application process.
