JACOB DANIEL HARTMAN
At a week-long service retreat during my junior year of high school is when I first heard the call to the priesthood. During adoration, I asked the Lord, “What do you want me to do with my life?” That is when the thought of the priesthood came up. I spent the next year trying to deny and repress my desire for the priesthood. Through a high school men’s group in Jefferson City called Frassati Fraternity, I opened my heart to the Lord and started honestly discerning God’s will. After a year of prayerful discernment, I was confident that the Lord was calling me to enter the seminary.
