My path to the priesthood was a slow and gradual process. In high school I became more interested in the intellectual side of my faith and was more exposed to Catholic teaching through my parish youth group. I had a very strong example of the priesthood in the late Fr. Michael O’Conner, and after reading Fr. Bret Brannen’s To Save A Thousand Souls and Fulton Sheen’s A Priest Is Not His Own, I fell in love with the idea of the priest as a servant to God’s people; from that moment on, I knew I was meant to be a priest.
