After working in the world and serving in my parish, I was invited by my vocation director to consider discerning the priesthood. My initial emotions were fear and anger; I was scared of letting go of my attachments to the plans for my life. But after encouragement from my loved ones, I surrendered myself to God’s loving will for me and discerned, which led me to seminary. The most attractive aspect of the priesthood to me is the love of Jesus Christ. I strive to give all of myself, just as He did, with His grace that is in me.
