My call to the priesthood began my senior year of college. I was uncertain about my future plans, so I turned to prayer. I grew up going to Mass every week and praying with my family every night, but I began to go to daily Mass and grow in Eucharistic and Marian devotion in my college years. This closeness to the Lord disposed me to hear his voice calling me to the seminary. I have felt great joy and continued affirmation of my vocation in the seminary community this past year, and I look forward to the journey ahead.

As a kid I watched the Food Network on Saturday mornings instead of cartoons, and I have never made anything from a box or mix. I even make my own artisan French bread and sourdough from scratch.
