RUSSELL “COLE” SCHULTZE
My family and I converted to the Catholic faith when I was six years old, but I sadly stopped attending Mass once I was confirmed. I was Protestant for several years (attending different denominations), until I got plugged into the university parish in San Marcos once I started attending Texas State University. It was there that I began to see the beauty and fullness of the Catholic faith. I heard God’s call to the priesthood one day after adoration when I was putting the crucifix back on the altar. Since then, my life has been an adventure with our Lord!
Favorite Quote or Bible Verse
“You should regard the Eucharist as valid which is celebrated either by the bishop or by someone he authorizes. Where the bishop is present, there let the congregation gather, just as where Jesus Christ is, there is the Catholic Church.” – St. Ignatius of Antioch
Fun Fact
I can play guitar, drums, bass, and the piano, but not all at the same time.
