The first glimpse I had at discerning my vocation was while I was on a retreat in middle school, when they asked for any boys who would be willing to consider the priesthood to stand up, and I felt something in me pushing me to do so. Afterwards, I dismissed it as “retreat high.” Yet as I grew more in my faith during college, I could no longer ignore what I was feeling, and began to seriously discern entering seminary. I continued to discern after graduation, until the spring of 2023, when, by God’s grace, I was able to apply.
