I was raised in a very good Catholic household, and my parents sent all my siblings and me to Catholic schools. On a retreat in my freshman year of high school I first heard the Lord calling me to a celibate vocation. I was extremely frightened that I would not be happy as a celibate man and tried to ignore this call for a couple of years. Eventually, through witnessing the joy of an amazing priest, the Lord opened my heart to accept the call and “give seminary a shot.” It was the best decision I have ever made.

Miguel Pagán and I ran from the University of Dallas Rome Campus to St. Peter’s Basilica this past summer (approximately 15 miles).
