Reverend Paul Bechter

I was born in Houston, Texas, and moved to the British island of Bermuda when I was six years old. I graduated high school in Bermuda and attended the University of Dallas in Irving to study Physics. There I encountered the Lord and embraced the Catholic faith of my youth, and later heard and pursued the call to become a priest for the Diocese of Dallas. I attended Holy Trinity Seminary in Irving from 2009-2011, and was sent to continue my priestly formation at the North American College in Rome and the Pontifical Gregorian University from 2011-2016, at which time I was ordained a priest for Dallas.

After ordination, I was sent back to Rome to continue studies at the Pontifical Biblical Institute, and I completed the License in Sacred Scripture in 2019. Since returning to Dallas, I have served at St. Ann in Coppell as a parochial vicar, and as Director of Vocations for the Diocese of Dallas. I was appointed Director of the Propaedeutic Program at Holy Trinity Seminary effective July 1, 2023. My hobbies and interests are ancient languages, golf, and rock climbing.
