JOHN ANTHONY CAVANNA
I grew up with a wonderful gang of four brothers and one sister. My parents homeschooled us through high school and taught us our Catholic faith, especially emphasizing the value of daily Mass and the Rosary. One day in high school, as I was praying the Rosary, my heart was moved by the thought of the priesthood. However, my conviction did not fully mature until college. I attended the University of Dallas (studying History), and my education created a sincere appreciation for goodness, truth, and beauty. Out of the blue, the thought of the priesthood reappeared in my heart, and I knew seminary was my next step.
